Andy + Lindsey were a breath of fresh air! When I met with Lindsey a couple months before the wedding she made it clear that they wanted to be involved and part of their party and celebration as much as possible. As guests trickled in and the couple joined their cocktail hour, I could easily see why it was important to them to be part of the party. Their relationships were authentic and joyful with so many genuine hugs and smiles from ear to ear. I shouldn’t have been surprised, because I originally knew of Andy and Lindsey from the CrossFit community, and that community has always been one that brings people together and often forms lifelong friendships based on support, love, understanding, and perseverance!
We planned almost all portraits before the ceremony so that they could be part of their cocktail hour immediately following their vow exchange. Looking back over the images I’m reminded of the crazy April weather that brought wind, rain, cooler temps, a little hail, and even sporadic sunshine. However, the weather isn’t even noticeable, because they just rolled with it the entire day, and didn’t let anything steal their happiness and excitement of finally being married and getting to celebrate with everyone they loved.

They were all very good and everyone was having a good time. I particularly enjoyed the pictures since I spent a couple hours in the trauma center and mussed the entire wedding ceremony and part of the reception. Lindsey’s Grandma Lockerby.
